Summary

The brawl with the Marines drags on across the great span. Franky shrugs off a boxing-gloved attacker and hurls him aside, while a cornered, winded Nami and Robin reverse their predicament with a second lightning storm and a flurry of sprouted palms. Far above, Lucci snares the spent Luffy with his tail and lands a crushing point-blank finisher. Picturing Robin, Luffy wills himself upright and answers with Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling, an unrelenting storm of fists that drives Lucci straight through a wall and leaves the Marines stunned.

Key Events

Usopp casts off the Sogeking ruse, shouting encouragement and even baiting Lucci to draw the enemy's eye off the fallen captain. Zoro's blade Yubashiri is lost to a masked rust-Marine, the Sabi Sabi no Mi eater whose touch corrodes steel to dust, before a Fire Bird Star from Usopp drops him. Franky exposes Captain Very Good as the Beri Beri no Mi user, who scatters into spheres, and Robin announces her own fruit power with a Clutch. Luffy then overcomes Lucci, and a Marine relays the defeat over the Den Den Mushi loudspeaker.

Notes

The episode brings in Glove, Very Good, and Shu, along with two new Devil Fruits: the Beri Beri no Mi plus its counterpart the Sabi Sabi no Mi. Lucci debuts Seimei Kikan: Kaijo and the maxed Sai Dai Rin: Rokuogan, while Luffy debuts Jet Gatling. The adaptation shifts when Lucci's loss is announced compared with the manga, and a continuity slip leaves Usopp's already-cracked Sogeking mask whole in one shot.
