Personality

First and foremost, Alpha answers to the World Government. The warm, approachable nurse she plays masks a cold and menacing killer who would not flinch at murdering a child. She shows real heartlessness, needlessly destroying every letter Kuma sent to Bonney, and turns sadistic and hot-tempered when crossed, ready to brutalize the girl and slaughter her crew for the escape attempt at Sorbet. Off duty she loosens up, happy to drink and celebrate with her colleagues, though carelessness and arrogance led her to spill her own secrets while drunk and expose her cover.

History

As a Cipher Pol operative, Alpha is presumed skilled in the Six Powers, strong enough to pulverize a small stone with her fingers and able to cross open water with Geppo, yet she proved no match for Bonney. Her supposed medical knowledge was thin, as she dosed Bonney with placebo syrup rather than real treatment.

Three and a half years before the present, she arrived at Kuma's church in the Sorbet Kingdom claiming she would help the child recover from her Sapphire Scales affliction. In truth she was placed there under Kuma's bargain with Saint Saturn, ensuring Bonney stayed in Government custody and out of contact with Kuma until his Pacifista modifications finished. Month after month she shredded his incoming letters and fed the girl fake medicine. When Bonney, at age nine, found her scales gone and wished to leave, Alpha refused. After Conney revealed the truth, Bonney disguised herself and slipped toward the port, but Alpha saw through the ruse and pursued her across the sea, threatening lethal force against any witnesses. Bonney enlarged her arm with her Devil Fruit and knocked Alpha into the ocean with a single blow.
