Azuki (Non-Canon)

A failed transformation experiment left this young woman with unmistakable swine traits, including animal ears and a snout shaped like a pig's. Her dark blonde hair reaches roughly to her shoulders, and a braid behind her head curls into a coil that recalls a pig's tail. She has blue eyes and wears a pale lab coat.

Azuki cares intensely for the lizard Josephine and flew into a rage when Zoro wounded the creature. She regards the local villagers with distrust, holding them responsible for the pirate attacks that had hounded her group.

Alongside Fang, Edamame, and Daizu, Azuki ran experiments aimed at granting animal traits to humans. A bad accident during this research transformed the team, together with Raccoon, the brother visiting Fang, into animals, with Azuki and two colleagues taking on pig-like features. The group pressed on regardless, and she devoted herself to strengthening the lizard she called Josephine. Mounting hostility from the villagers, and an attack by pirates the scientists suspected the villagers had sent, hardened their resentment. Once the Straw Hats reached the island, Zoro defeated the giant lizard; Azuki found it injured and nursed it, baffled and furious over who had hurt it. She returned with Josephine while Chopper and Zoro searched for Luffy, and after the lizard swallowed him she dosed it with a substance that turned its hide deep red and boosted its power, letting it overwhelm the weary swordsman. Chopper still beat the beast and freed Luffy, and a furious Azuki fled with Josephine. She ambushed Chopper and his companion again on the temple's 10th and 30th floors before losing once more. After Fang's defeat ended the scheme, everyone gathered back at the village for a celebration, Azuki among them.
