History

Earlier in his life, Bens regularly gambled at Rain Dinners, where, without his knowledge, Nico Robin rigged his bets as a promotional stunt, handing him a 50,000,000 berry win. Never realizing the games had been fixed, he grew obsessed and took up gambling as a full-time pursuit, traveling to Gran Tesoro and Dressrosa. Along the way he funded his habit by beating the pirates he crossed and pocketing their treasure, though his rampages after losing bets earned him a 20,000,000 berry bounty. He fights with a cutlass and shows solid skill with it.

While on Dressrosa, his wanted poster caught the eye of the Straw Hat Pirates. They hunted him down and found him reminiscing about Rain Dinners with Robin, but the moment he grasped that they were after his bounty he turned on them. He was beaten and handed over to Margin.
