Youngest of the Gorgon Sisters, Boa Marigold helps rule Amazon Lily beside Hancock and Sandersonia and stands as one of the Kuja Pirates' two officers. Wielding a King Cobra transformation and a giant polearm, she once traded blows with Luffy at her sister's side.
Slim and small in her early teens like Hancock, Marigold grew into a towering, thickly muscled woman after adopting a sumo wrestler's bulking routine. Her wavy orange-brown locks are arranged to suggest a cobra's spread hood, giving her a horned, valkyrie-like profile. She wears a pink Kuja bikini hung with gold tassels, a trailing loincloth with purple flaps, brown boots, and flowers worn as a headband and necklace. Once at Rusukaina her cape and clothing shift to blue, echoing her eldest sister. Across her back, hidden beneath cape and hair, sits the World Nobles' slave brand, long passed off as a cursed set of Gorgon eyes, and she keeps a hawk by her side rather than the snakes the other Kuja favor.
Of the three siblings Marigold is the sternest, showing the least feeling when not fighting. She upholds the invented story that they slew a Gorgon for their curse yet, in contrast to the endlessly dishonest Hancock, has never voiced the lie herself. On the battlefield she fights offensively with a touch of play, though less than Sandersonia, and she shares the family weakness of writing off opponents too soon, a flaw Luffy exposed with Supreme King Haki and his Second Gear. She is intensely close to her sisters and counts the World Government an enemy for the bondage she and her siblings suffered under the World Nobles.
As one of Amazon Lily's rulers and an elite Kuja warrior in her sister's crew, Marigold holds real authority over the island and its women. Her will is strong enough to shrug off Luffy's Supreme King Haki. Her power flows from the King Cobra model of the Hebi Hebi no Mi, a Zoan that turns her into a serpent able to coil and strike with her tail; the snake form proved remarkably tough, going unharmed even after she set herself alight. In that shape she spits clumps of venom that, even on a miss, evaporate into a poison cloud that dulls a foe's fighting, and she can twist her hair into snakes for extra reach. She commands both Armament and Observation Haki, her Armament refined enough to cloak herself in flame without injury and to deflect strikes, though she cannot stop blows too fast or fierce, like Luffy's Gear 2. Alone among the sisters she carries a weapon, an oversized guandao-style polearm.
Captured at sea as children and sold to the Celestial Dragons, Marigold and her sisters were branded and force-fed Devil Fruits for their masters' amusement until Fisher Tiger's raid on Mary Geoise set them loose. With help from Rayleigh, Shakuyaku, and Elder Nyon they reached Amazon Lily, where the Gorgon-curse cover let them hide their marks and become rulers under Empress Hancock. After Luffy uncovered their secret, Marigold and Sandersonia transformed and dueled him in the arena until Gear 2 overwhelmed them; Luffy then covered Sandersonia's exposed back, winning the sisters' regard. Furious that he later begged Hancock to risk Impel Down, she was stunned when love drove her sister to agree. She afterward governed the island in Hancock's stead, reunited with Rayleigh after the war, and in the final saga weighed the danger Vegapunk's Seraphim posed to their home.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Boa Marigold is the youngest of the Gorgon Sisters and co-rules Amazon Lily alongside Boa Hancock and Boa Sandersonia. She serves as one of the two officers of the Kuja Pirates and can transform into a King Cobra.
Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia grew into towering, heavily muscled women because Marigold adopted a sumo wrestler's bulking routine, unlike the more slender Hancock who kept a classical build.
Boa Marigold ate the King Cobra model of the Hebi Hebi no Mi, a Zoan Devil Fruit that lets her transform into a giant serpent able to coil around and strike opponents with her tail, and to spit venom that turns into a poison cloud.
Boa Marigold is the only one of the three Gorgon Sisters who carries a weapon, an oversized guandao-style polearm.
Boa Marigold and her sisters were captured as children and enslaved by the Celestial Dragons, who branded them and force-fed them Devil Fruits. After Fisher Tiger's raid on Mary Geoise freed them, Rayleigh, Shakuyaku, and Elder Nyon helped them reach Amazon Lily, where they used a fabricated Gorgon curse story to hide their brands and rose to power, with Hancock becoming empress.
