Dr. Bolam is a non-canon researcher based on Digital Art Island, introduced through an attraction called Digital Art Island Adventure. Driven by an obsession with cute things, he hunts dwarves and manufactures copies of Chopper before clashing with the Straw Hats and Sabo.
Bolam cuts a gaunt figure, his skin strikingly pale and his black hair grown out to considerable length. For clothing he layers a deep magenta button-up over an inner shirt of purple, and below that he wears trousers of dark blue. Draped over everything is a roomy white lab coat so long that its hem reaches the floor near his feet.
Described outright as deranged, Bolam carries an intense fondness for anything he finds adorable. That fixation pushes him to chase down members of the Dwarves and to mass-produce duplicates of Tony Tony Chopper. His speech is also marked by a signature cackle rendered as gegegegege.
What Bolam offers in stamina he lacks in muscle. Blows from the Straw Hats and Sabo never put him out cold, and he managed to pursue the Tontatta Tribe at length, yet he proved too weak and too slow to actually seize a single dwarf or land meaningful damage. His clumsiness undid him during a swarm of Chopper clones, which toppled him and set off the gas he carries, blasting him into the air. As a scientist he commands some technical skill: he can vent a concealed cloud of gas from beneath his coat that both blinds onlookers and detonates, and he built a device that turns drawings into living three-dimensional creatures, an effect comparable to Kanjuro's Fude Fude no Mi. Unlike Kanjuro, however, he holds no command over whatever his machine produces.
