Brogy

Brogy stands as a giant with a stocky, sumo-like bulk, dressed in Viking fashion. His outfit centers on a red overall fastened with golden button straps, trimmed in fur, with a leather band over his right shoulder and a second one as a belt, plus black-striped yellow trousers fringed with fur, yellow footwear, a buckled blue cape, and a horned red helmet. His blond beard is shaped like the edge of an axe, set above tiny eyes, a broad grin, and a snout resembling a pig's. A confrontation with Gunko while she was possessed by Imu cost him his left hand; in demon form the severed hand lingered in place where the limb ended before regrowing completely, then was lost a second time when he reverted, leaving a stump.

Much like Dorry, Brogy is warm-hearted at his core, though pride can occasionally cloud his judgment. He upholds his homeland's warrior customs with deep honor and would obey them even while gravely wounded. He treasures friendship and readily extended his protection to the Straw Hats, even welcoming crewmates he had never met simply because they sailed with Luffy, and proudly invited the whole crew to celebrate their alliance on Elbaph. That same pride led him to wrongly assume Luffy had planted the bomb in his drink. When Imu transformed him into a demon, however, his loyal nature gave way to violent, primal instinct, and he gladly embraced it even while recognizing his own friends. His distinctive laugh is a string of "Gaba" sounds.

Born on Elbaph roughly 160 years ago, Brogy grew up beside Dorry and a young Harald, and the two friends became among the most feared raiders on the seas. After each slew an enormous Sea King during a hunt, they could not settle which catch had been larger, so by Elbaph's customs they began dueling on Little Garden, a contest that dragged on for a hundred years in repeated draws. The Straw Hats then landed on the isle while bound for Arabasta; Brogy startled Nami and Usopp, shared their liquor, and fed them dinosaur meat, and the encounter planted in Usopp a wish to one day reach Elbaph. Galdino's hidden bomb crippled Dorry, letting Brogy win their latest clash, after which Mr. 3 trapped him in wax until Luffy freed him. Two years later, reunited with fresh weapons, Brogy and Dorry sailed to Egghead to rescue Luffy from the Five Elders and the Marines, unleashing combined techniques such as Hakoku and Sun Saw. They escorted the crew home, where his bounty leapt from 100,000,000 to 1,800,000,000. Amid the chaos on Elbaph he battled the MMA, was converted into a demon by Imu acting through Gunko, lost his hand, and led a demonic crew toward Jarul. A mutual decapitation between him and Dorry severed their transformations and restored them both.
