Caramel

Caramel is a tiny, elderly woman whose short teal hair sweeps to her right. A white hooded cloak covers most of her, worn over a pink turtleneck and pink trousers. She often hauls a cooler-shaped case strapped to her back.

Warm and obliging, she presses ramune on Luffy once his cola runs dry and looks out for newcomers, cautioning him about the Cidre Guild. Her concern springs from loss, since the Guild tore her loved ones away, and their eventual return moves her to tears and an embrace.

Caramel keeps a sizeable pink hippo at her side, an animal that hauls her ramune supply, though she is sturdy enough to shoulder a heavy case of the drink herself despite her small build. Her troubles began when Cidre, Guarana, and Ginger landed on her island and dragged off members of her family to labor for the Cidre Guild. While Luffy lounged on the hot spring slopes, she approached to sell him ramune; he declined and asked where to find cola, so she steered him toward the factory the Guild used as its base and cautioned him that men taken there never came back. After Luffy brought Cidre down, her family was returned to her and she wept with joy at the reunion.
