Charlotte Linlin

Standing 880 centimeters tall, a hair under 29 feet, Linlin claims the title of tallest human ever recorded, rising above even Whitebeard and able to hold the 277 centimeter Brook in a single hand. Hers is a massive, heavyset body crowned by a jutting chin, a curved beak-like nose, and plump rounded cheeks. Heavy lashes and thick purple shadow frame her round orange eyes, and her broad mouth shows red lipstick across large rounded teeth, with a thick tongue that often hangs loose. Curly, untamed pink hair spills down to mid-back, and a heart-shaped tattoo decorates her left shoulder and arm. As a child of five she already matched giant youngsters in size, yet as an adult she remains a few meters shy of the twelve-meter giant minimum.

Her outfit revolves around a red-spotted pink dress edged in white ruffles, accompanied by a sweeping white cape that trails on the ground, dark blue high heels, a turquoise pearl band on each wrist, and a jeweled ring adorning every finger. A pink bicorne bearing a Jolly Roger crowns her head; in its present form, called Napoleon, the hat houses a fragment of her soul that allows its skull to talk and change expression, with a polka-dotted bandana tucked beneath it. Her look has transformed sharply over the years, from slim and finely featured at 24 to thicker of neck and heavier of jaw by 48, and during extended hunger she wastes away to a gaunt figure until eating revives her. While disguised as O-Lin in Wano, she ties her hair into a shimada and adopts kimono dress.

Appetite and ambition drive Big Mom in roughly equal measure. When a food she craves is withheld, she erupts into ruinous tantrums, her pupils warping into spirals as rage drowns out all reason. She frames her nation as a haven where peoples of every race might dwell together free of division, and yet she advances that goal through conquest, manipulation, and the harvesting of souls. The Charlotte Family is to her both a household and the very framework of her crew, with her countless children placed as ministers and officers, though her warmth comes with strings and her grudges run permanent.

Cast off by her own kin, Linlin passed her earliest years on Elbaph, raised inside the Sheep's House by a woman named Carmel. After a hunger-fueled accident claimed the life of the Elbaph hero Jorul, she was relocated to another island. During a birthday feast where she gorged herself on sweets, Carmel and the orphans around her vanished inexplicably, and Linlin ended up holding Carmel's Devil Fruit. Streusen later discovered her, and the two of them founded a pirate crew together. As a young adult she joined the legendary Rocks Pirates and forged a bond with the apprentice Kaidou. Once the God Valley Incident destroyed the Rocks, she assembled a crew of her own, the Big Mom Pirates.

Against the Straw Hats and their captain Monkey D. Luffy, her rivalry took root over Fish-Man Island and then flared up when the crew invaded Whole Cake Island, ruining her plan to take Germa Kingdom technology by way of an arranged marriage between Sanji and her daughter Pudding. Pursuing Luffy into Wano Country, she allied herself with the Beasts Pirates under Kaidou, intending to seize the One Piece and rule the world, but that pact fell apart the same night it was made, since their united foes, the combined Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, brought it down. Defeated by Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law, she was dropped from the World Economy News Paper's revised list of Emperors.

Early in her piracy her bounty opened at 50,000,000 and was rapidly bumped to 500,000,000; at her peak it climbed to 4,388,000,000, second-highest of any living pirate. Her power flows from the Soru Soru no Mi; with it she can draw out the souls of others and plant them in lifeless things, producing the loyal creatures called homies. Among these, three carry special standing: Napoleon her bicorne, Prometheus her sun, and Hera her thundercloud, the last of whom she crafted to take over from the failing Zeus. She also commands all three branches of Haki, including the uncommon Supreme King type.
