Opera is built like a mountain, an immense torso perched atop comically tiny legs. Cream conjured by his powers blankets his head and arms, forming a great beard that he ties off with a bow. A high-collared cape hangs from his shoulders, and dotted wristlets and a dripping-patterned belt echo the look of his abilities.

A sharp mind underlies his bulk; spotting the beaten Cracker, he immediately reasoned that Luffy must be close. He shows real attachment to his relatives, having tried to shield Moscato from their mother's fury and recoiling at Cracker's defeat. Yet his concern bends sharply toward himself. He could treat torture as a casual chore, wearing a flat expression as he readied to harm Nami, and his cowardice ran deep enough that he invented tales of killing his prisoners to dodge his mother's wrath. A verbal quirk, the suffix "-fa," colors his speech and his laugh.

As minister he governs Noko Island, and his officer rank sets him over the lower crew. His vast frame lends him brute strength, enough to hoist a child one-handed. He consumed the Kuri Kuri no Mi, a Paramecia fruit letting him spawn and shape cream, and he can raise the sugar within it to scorching heat that sears flesh on contact. When preparing to torment Nami he reached instead for a crossbow. His role ended grimly: during a wedding-cake craving rampage, Big Mom tore away part of his lifespan, leaving his fate unresolved.
