Colscon is a feared New World pirate captain who threw in his lot with Whitebeard as a subordinate. He led his own crew to Marineford in the doomed bid to rescue Portgas D. Ace from the executioner's block.
Colscon is a portly figure whose brown hair falls in curls above a slim black mustache. His wardrobe evokes a crime lord: a black overcoat, a yellow necktie, and a moss-green buttoned shirt ruled with vertical stripes, finished off by a dark brown feathered hat. An early design sketch placed a sizable parrot upon his shoulder.
His devotion to Whitebeard ran deep, deep enough that he would stake his own life to rescue Ace. Braving the perils of an assault on Marine Headquarters for a single comrade shows just how greatly he prized friendship.
In battle Colscon relies chiefly on a gun, and though he was seen holding one through the fighting at Marineford, his skill with it stays unconfirmed; the parrot he keeps may or may not aid him in a brawl. He built a dreaded reputation across the New World before binding himself to Whitebeard as an allied captain. When Ace faced execution at Marineford, Colscon brought his crew to fight beside the Whitebeard Pirates, and the combined fleet of forty-three subordinate captains stunned the Marines by appearing without warning just off the coast. The moment Akainu dealt Ace a fatal blow, Colscon shouted his comrade's name and watched in anguish as Ace died. Soon after, the Red Hair Pirates showed up, Sengoku declared the war finished, and the surviving pirates, Colscon included, were free to depart.
