Cyrano

A thin mustache that curls up at its tips defines Cyrano's face, set beneath a musketeer's hat worn over brown hair combed to the side. A long blade rides on his belt. The broad hat and the mustache lend him a likeness to Dracule Mihawk, a fitting echo given that Ryuma resembles Zoro.

On first impression Cyrano comes across as gracious and selfless, a man who lives by honor and would lay down his life for others. That image is a lie. The truth is a scheming, immoral criminal who kills whenever it suits him and will throw away his own allies to win. With his accomplice D.R., he wears a respectable face purely to gain people's trust before striking. His arrogance ran deep; convinced his rank as a first-class swordsman placed him above Ryuma, he taunted the samurai right up until it cost him his life.

Cyrano carried a reputation as a first-class swordsman, wielding a zweihander, and the ease with which Ryuma cut him down left D.R. terrified. He was also shrewd and manipulative, staging a fake rescue of Flare to build a heroic name so he could later rob a town free of suspicion, and framing Ryuma as a convenient scapegoat. His fatal flaw was badly misjudging the samurai's strength.
