Masira's men keep shouting for their captain while Nami, Usopp, and Chopper try to dismiss the whole day as a nightmare. Robin coolly notes that ropes still tie the swallowed trio to the turtle's mouth, warning that the creature will drag them under if it dives. As the rescue tug-of-war plays out, darkness falls and the three divers tumble back aboard, each clutching a sack of recovered goods.

Masira resurfaces and rages that the crew cannot raid his territory and slip away with his haul, but the mention of treasure barely registers before everyone freezes. Across the horizon, gigantic silhouettes rise against the sky, the first appearance of the Sea Giants, terrifying the pirates and even the turtle. The Straw Hats flee at full sail on the Going Merry. Only after escaping do they realize Masira has hitched a ride, prompting Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji to kick him off the boat.

This chapter, part of the Jaya arc, features a color spread cover unrelated to the takoyaki serial, showing Usopp unveiling his Power Alarm Clock to a thoroughly bored, sleeping audience. The shadowy Sea Giants debut here.
