Damian

Damian stands at about average height, his dark blue hair cut short and slicked back, with faint stubble above the lip and a goatee below. His outfit is a low-cut white sleeveless shirt with a brown scarf knotted at the throat and a brown sash at the waist, paired with blue cargo pants.

Hot-headed and outspoken, Damian bitterly resents the Marines on Jail Island, holding that the townsfolk should not have to cower before the troops. His firm beliefs poisoned his friendship with the Pro-Marine Albert, leading him to hurl insults during their talks and to bar his boy Doni from spending time with Eric, Albert's son. When Doni fled, however, Damian saw that his boy outweighed his politics and resolved to hash things out with Albert calmly. He guards Doni fiercely, dashing to save him the instant he learned the child had strayed into pirate territory.

Acting together with Albert, Damian floored two pirates in one surprise strike by ambushing them from the rear.

Growing up, Damian and Albert were the closest of friends, often playing on Battery Island. After the Marines moved onto Jewel Island within the past twelve years, the two diverged sharply: Damian argued the people should never live afraid, while Albert favored obedience, and the rift hardened into open hatred. Tensions boiled over once Damian barred Doni from seeing Eric, driving the boy to run off and leave a letter that Jeanne carried to his father. Sure that Albert had turned his son, Damian charged over and the men fell into a furious quarrel until Luffy and Jeanne stepped in, Luffy urging each father to put his son ahead of his beliefs. Guessing the children had gone to pirate-ridden Battery Island, the pair rushed there and jumped two pirates poised to kill the boys. The sons confessed they had drawn their fathers to the old hideout to mend the rift, and Damian and Albert agreed at last to argue their views in a civil way.
