Doni

Doni is a little boy with cropped brown hair, and his most striking feature is the large cooking pot he wears as a helmet. His outfit gathers a patched yellow shirt now too tight on his frame, a vest in blue, an ascot of pale blue at the throat, a waist sash in that same shade, short blue trousers, and brown shoes.

Wary and distrustful toward strangers, Doni took Luffy for a brutal pirate and even objected to Jeanne pulling him from the sea. Though he stays loyal to the anti-Marine cause led by Jeanne, he sees no problem mixing with those who back the Marines. That openness put him at odds with his father and pushed him to briefly run away beside Eric, a friend from the pro-Marine camp.

Doni stood with Jeanne on the Jail Island shore when she rescued the drowning Luffy. Learning the newcomer truly was a pirate scared him, but the mood eased once Luffy made clear he knew nothing of the island's Dyna Stones. He soon dashed to the Thousand Sunny to warn Jeanne that robots had begun attacking Sogyoku Town. Later, his wish to play with Eric was blocked by Damian, since Eric's father Albert sided with the Marines, so Doni fled. He and Eric turned up at Konko Plaza, refused Jeanne's plea to go home, and handed her a letter for their parents. The note claimed they had gone to Battery Island, where the two staged a scheme meant to reunite their fathers at an old childhood spot. Pirates had overrun the island, though, and their leader Don Axe, provoked by the boys, moved to kill them just as Luffy and Jeanne turned up, with Luffy quickly putting the captain down. When Axe's crew tried to finish the children off, Damian and Albert showed up and knocked the pirates out. The boys explained their motives, and along with Jeanne they helped their fathers make peace once more.
