Dandelion

Silver hair of medium length and a stubbled chin frame Dandelion's face. He dresses in a fishnet shirt with dark trousers and boots, and over it all drapes a yellow longcoat whose ruffled collar, cuffs, and hem deliberately evoke the dandelion that gives him his name.

Ambition rules Dandelion, who longs to reign over the Grand Line and will stoop to any underhanded trick to get there, from lying his way into people's trust to shooting a distracted foe in the back. By Mirage's account, his organization runs on mutual gain rather than loyalty. He shows real cruelty, wrecking Pokori's cherished ship to strip the boy of his attachments, and his recklessness borders on self-defeat, as when he fires a cannon into his own battleship and sinks it.

Commanding Flower Angel, Dandelion holds sway over all its forces, and Mirage rated his fighting prowess so highly that he believed the Straw Hats could not touch him, though the crew ultimately proved otherwise. For a time he controlled an enormous, dreaded battleship. His weapon of choice is a harmonica gun that fires ordinary rounds as well as exotic projectiles such as blades.

Long ago Dandelion obtained a book describing a massive armed vessel that its own builders had scuttled out of fear of its power, and he resolved to recover and wield it. Arriving off Croissant Island just after the Straw Hats left, his fleet began hauling the sunken ship up while he deceived the young shipwright Pokori into thinking they were merely researchers. The repaired ship needed two parts to run: a Sennenryu and a sufficiently hard object. Dandelion shot Arlong in the back at Warship Island to steal a Sennenryu while Mirage hypnotized the Straw Hats, then his men located a giant metal axe to complete the requirements. After the Straw Hats stormed the warship, he destroyed Pokori's ship out of spite, beat the boy down, and fought the crew. Defeated twice, he kept firing the ship's cannons even as it sank, but Pokori had swapped the explosives for fireworks, foiling his final shot at the fleeing Going Merry.
