History

Throughout Sabo's upbringing, Didit pushed her son toward the customs of nobility, urging him to wed a royal princess so the family might enjoy an easier and more comfortable life. When a royal boy attacked Sabo, her worry fell on the noble child rather than her own son. The pressure she and Outlook III applied drove Sabo to abandon home for the Gray Terminal. Once he eventually came back, she greeted him while remarking on his foul odor and presented him to his adopted sibling, Sterry.

The anime adds a further scene: after Sabo took a small boat to flee toward a pirate's life, his parents watched the escape in stunned disbelief. The situation worsened when his vessel crossed in front of the World Noble Jalmack and was shot down, leaving both parents horrified at the apparent loss of their son and at his defiance of a Celestial Dragon.
