The Divine Squad is the standing army of whoever holds the title of God over Skypiea. Spanning four centuries of rulers, its members served Gan Fall before Enel's takeover, with Moyle the sole one named.
Members of the squad wear loose, sleeveless white attire with a strip of purple cloth slung over one shoulder. They are set apart from ordinary citizens by having just a single hair antenna rising from the head.
Four hundred years back, the God Ubau wielded the Divine Squad to take the Upper Yard and push the Shandia off it. The unit later answered to Gan Fall, the final Skypiean ruler before Enel's invasion, and was present six years prior at the failed talks with the Shandia.
Once Enel seized power, some of the squad were enslaved and put to work constructing the Ark Maxim, the vessel meant to carry him to the Moon. Others reinvented themselves as the White Berets and, seeming to abandon the squad, swore loyalty to Enel. Their hope was that by staying on the island and shielding people from God's wrath they could keep the citizens safe, but the scheme collapsed since Enel had always meant to erase Skypiea outright. In the end they defied his law and helped the people of Angel Island reach safety.
In the VIZ release the group's name shifts from chapter to chapter, rendered variously as Kami's Warriors, Kami's Forces, and Kami's Army, among other inconsistent forms.
