History

Gardar drew his inspiration from the Germa 66 featured in Sora, Warrior of the Sea, the in-universe comic, and built a pirate crew in which each member acted out one of the unit's roles. He himself played Garuda and took his epithet from the part, later earning a bounty. He and his crew settled in Bone Bridge Canyon within the Sandy Desert, where they leapt from low cliffs to waylay passersby, though they handled the falls so badly that they would lie sprawled on the ground before striking. When his wanted poster appeared in Spice Bean, the Straw Hats hunted him out and challenged him; his crew announced themselves to be Germa 66, which irritated Sanji, and they were easily beaten and handed to Margin. In the Reunion of Memories story, set in a Memoria reshaped by Crocodile, Gardar joined Baroque Works under the title "Mr. 66" and was put in charge of Nanohana before the Straw Hats defeated him once more.
