The island riding atop the Sea King is small, crowned at its center by tall, spike-shaped peaks. A thick forest rings the coast around those spikes, parted only by a single town lying to the south. Its layout includes Great Ground Port on the southern shore and Cola Village, the lone settlement, nestled between the harbor and the mountains. On the Log Pose route it sits after Royal Sun Island and before Festa Circle.

Personality

The Sea King possesses its own magnetic field and a striking awareness of what happens on its back, able to tell who is actually present on the island. When provoked to anger it thrashes its body, sending earthquakes rippling across the land above.

History

Long ago the island called Great Ground was raised upon the Sea King's back. Among its forests lives a giant sea turtle, the island's guardian, which had triplet hatchlings, one of them the pet of Cola Village's Maya, the only person it trusts and can speak with. During the events of the game, Reira and Harry triggered an explosion on the creature's back, throwing the island into a violent quake, though the shaking stopped the instant they departed. Great Ground stands as the first island built upon a great living animal, later echoed by Mecha Island and Zou, yet unlike those it remains reachable by ordinary Log Pose.
