Dr. Ho

Age weighs on Dr. Ho, whose frame all but disappears beneath a flowing cyan robe topped with a lilac wrap. On his head sits a tall, rounded hat recalling a fez, though it widens at the middle like the waist of an hourglass instead of tapering. A white beard runs unbroken from under his nose down past his chin, parting just enough to reveal his full lips, and small round spectacles, much like Kuro's, perch on his face.

Courteous and inquisitive, Ho carries the manner of a physician forever chasing fresh knowledge, drawn especially to fellow doctors and their methods. Chopper's habit of hurling insults even while being complimented left him puzzled.

Forty years of study and practice stand behind Ho, though by his own admission his learning never matched the renowned research of Drum Island. In the days after Baroque Works was driven out of Arabasta, with the Straw Hats resting up inside Alubarna Palace, Ho caught sight of Chopper compounding medicine and was instantly impressed. Once Nefertari Vivi mentioned that the reindeer hailed from Drum, his curiosity deepened and he asked to observe the work; the flattered Chopper fired off his usual insults even as he set out tea and a chair for the older doctor.
