Insk cuts a bulky figure topped with curly brown hair and a matching beard. His clothing runs to a green shirt dotted with paler green spots, worn over blue trousers.

An all-consuming fascination with insects rules his life. He hunts for them daily and has gone so far as to learn how to imitate the noises they make, a fixation that traces back to his youth.

Insk's combat strengths are largely a mystery, but he commands an unusual knack for taming scorpions and handles a bazooka with real proficiency. His obsession began after he laid eyes on the colossal bugs of the Boin Archipelago. At one point he tried to sign on with the Beasts Pirates and was turned away, and either before or after that rejection he founded the Insect Pirates, meaning to strike back at Kaidou. Along the way he picked up a bounty of 57,000,000 berries.

Word of new varieties of rhinoceros beetles and hornets on Dressrosa drew him there to capture them. The Straw Hat Pirates spotted his bounty and hunted him down, and on realizing he was unknowingly closing in on the Tontatta Tribe, they swiftly beat him and handed him over to Margin to collect the reward. In the Water Seven Memoria of Reunion of Memories, where Iceburg was arrested, Insk was contracted by the World Government to guard Dock 1, competing with Maitei and Mooji for a permanent post until all three were defeated by the Straw Hats.
