Personality

Warm, sociable, and devoted to her home, Jeanne wants nothing more than to return the island to the calm it knew under her mother's rule. She turns up nearly everywhere sorting out the residents' troubles, and as a committed pacifist she will befriend almost anyone who is not hostile, pirates included, even though pirates killed her mother. She refuses to answer violence with more violence and so rejected Isaac's scheme of mass revenge. Brave despite having no combat skill, she will confront criminals and aid Luffy in breaking into Marine prisons, and she often pours so much into helping others that her friends must coax her into resting.

History

Jeanne was raised on Jewel Island beside her mother, the island's leader, and her big brother Isaac. Twelve years before the game, pirates seeking the island's Dyna Stones invaded and killed their mother, after which Isaac departed to enlist with the Marines and avenge her. He later came back to lead a Marine occupation, raising three prisons that gave the place its new name of Jail Island and benefiting only a fraction of its people; those left out resisted, and Jeanne rose to lead them while still hoping for common ground. In World Seeker she rescues a drowning Luffy and allies with the Straw Hats, using her knowledge of the prisons to help free Franky and Robin. As Isaac's plot to fly the Sky Prison and its Dyna Stones into Mary Geoise unfolds, he even traps her in a robot suit to force her to start a civil war, but Luffy breaks her loose. After Luffy defeats Isaac, her brother gets her clear of the Sky Prison just before it blows apart, and though she fears him dead, the two are eventually reunited at their mother's grave.
