Jim

Tanned skin and an oval head gave Jim an ordinary, unremarkable look, topped by a head of wavy black hair and marked by a sharply triangular nose. He stood at an average height. Most of the time he appeared in standard Marine dress, though off duty he switched to a blue V-neck paired with a darker blue armband.

Underhanded and disloyal by nature, Jim was willing to strike unlawful bargains with pirate crews if it advanced his standing within the Marines. What drove him was a craving for recognition: more than anything, he wanted to climb high in the organization and be remembered for it.

Years earlier, Jim served beneath Randolph before forging a close bond with Governor. The two men resolved to become the most celebrated figures in the Marines, but the route they chose ran through repeated corrupt deals with pirates, a scheme their talent for strategy and manipulation kept running. That partnership ended in betrayal. While Jim sat counting the proceeds of one such arrangement, Governor put a bullet through his head, killing him on the spot.
