Appearance

Kikyo is a lean Kuja of ordinary height with tanned skin and long black hair worn in a ponytail. In keeping with her tribe she dresses in scanty attire and carries a serpent weapon. Her outfit centers on a black one piece swimsuit whose studded upper straps link through a ring to the lower ones, forming a cross over a plunging neckline, and she drapes a white cape over it.

Personality

Among the Kuja, Kikyo ranks as one of the sternest and most grown up. She bristled at having a man on the island and grew wary the moment Boa Hancock came home, and she was the lone warrior unentertained by Luffy's clowning at the post battle feast, later scolding the others for sticking twigs up their noses as he departed.

Hard as her leadership runs, real tenderness sits beneath it. She readied herself to kill Luffy specifically to spare her sisters from punishment, and she panicked when Sandersonia threatened to crush Marguerite.

History

On Amazon Lily, Kikyo was among the crowd that watched Luffy's body get cleansed of its Body Mushrooms, joining the shock when Elder Nyon revealed he was a man. After he woke and snatched back his hat, she stayed unshaken while the others recoiled, then led the Kuja in loosing arrows, which she strengthens with Armament Haki, after he was deemed a threat to Marguerite and the others. She possesses Haki strong enough that she did not collapse when Luffy unleashed his Supreme King Haki to rescue Marguerite from Sandersonia.

She trailed Luffy through the forest, returned to find him already captured, and watched the arena unfold as he beat Bacura and confronted the Gorgon Sisters, fretting over Marguerite's safety throughout. Once the three petrified women were restored she was overjoyed. She remained unamused at the farewell party, saw the Kuja Pirates off the next morning, and later joined the discussion when Luffy was brought back to recuperate from the war at Marineford.
