Macro (Automaton)

Macro is encased in a suit of full golden plate armor, its helmet left open to reveal his face. As with the other automata, he is built short and squat, with a rounded head, a bulbous nose, and a thick brown mustache.

Devoted to his maker Tsukimi, Macro was also deeply grateful to Enel for crushing the Space Pirates, and his allegiance has since shifted to the lightning-wielding former god. He gets on well with his fellow automata, accompanying them on their journey to the moon.

Macro was sharing snacks with the other automata and Dr. Tsukimi while they watched the moon when a sudden explosion erupted on its surface. The shock made Tsukimi gulp down a dumpling whole and choke to death. After laying their creator to rest, the four automata each tied themselves to a balloon and floated up to the moon to avenge the accident. There they discovered the Space Pirates and, against hopeless odds, took on their captain, only to be defeated. When Spacey later went to thank Enel for beating the pirates, Enel blasted the automata with lightning; once he recharged the lunar city and revived them, Macro and the rest pledged themselves as soldiers in his army. Despite his mechanical frame, Macro carries a sword, though his skill with it remains unclear.
