Appearance

In her younger years Moda kept her blonde hair, drawn light brown in the manga, at shoulder length and half tucked under a white bandanna, with pale blue eyes. Her clothing ran to a long, intricately patterned skirt in red and pink, a light blue top, and dark blue boots. The timeskip matured her into a curvier adult with longer hair; her wardrobe stayed close to before but traded the top for a long-sleeved blouse, gave her bandanna a cow print and her boots a longer brown cut, and left one of her teeth chipped.

Personality

Kindness runs deep in Moda, who hauled Ace out of a river and nursed him back to health. She cherishes her parents and carries a genuine fear of stirring the World Nobles' wrath. No trained combatant by nature, she nonetheless found startling strength after the Kobu Kobu no Mi wielded by Belo Betty awakened her latent power, dropping the pirate captain Peachbeard, who carried a 52,000,000 Berry bounty, with one swing of a stick.

History

Moda first rescued Ace after a furious chef and several others kicked him into a river, and Ace repaid the kindness by reuniting her with her parents, who served as cooks aboard a Marine vessel. When Peachbeard and his crew raided Lulusia, Moda pleaded with them to leave the people's money alone, since every coin was owed to the World Nobles as tribute. Peachbeard knocked her down, but Belo Betty caught her, and after Betty strengthened the townsfolk, Moda used her newfound power to beat the pirate captain.

Power from Betty's fruit still moved her, and Moda, like a great many other residents, sought to enlist in the Revolutionary Army, leaving with Sabo before Lulusia was wiped out. Afterward she stood among the Revolutionaries watching Vegapunk's worldwide broadcast, and when he revealed that the Mother Flame's power had destroyed Lulusia, she broke into tears at learning someone was to blame.
