Moyle

Of average build and height, Moyle has brown hair drawn up into a single antenna-shaped point. A pair of wings rises from his back, the trait common to every Skypiean. For clothing he keeps to a plain white robe worn together with sandals.

Gentle and easy to befriend, Moyle put real faith in his commander Gan Fall. That loyalty never carried over to Enel; after Gan Fall's defeat he obeyed the self-styled god only because the threat of divine punishment left him no choice. Among his fellow sky dwellers he seems to have gotten along well.

Serving in the Divine Squad, Moyle took part in the doomed stand to protect Gan Fall's title when Enel stormed Skypiea. Their loss tore him from his family and reduced him to a prisoner, made to spend six years building the ark Maxim. Once it was complete, Enel betrayed him, abandoning him close to death until Conis and Pagaya came upon him. Before he gave out, he warned them of Enel's design: to plunge Skypiea back down into the Blue Sea, exterminate every resident, and sail off aboard the Ark Maxim. A lightning strike then felled him, and what became of him afterward is unrecorded. His son Mochi, who never met him, would later speak with pride of a father he believed served a god worth following. During the defense of Gan Fall's title, Moyle was glimpsed carrying a staff, though how skilled he was with it was never established.
