Appearance

In his ordinary state Pierre is a sizable pink bird patterned with red polka dots, solid red across the sides and back of his head and along his horn-like ears, with bandages wound around his torso, a flat face, and a yellow beak. Transforming into his hybrid bird-horse form turns him into a winged steed that keeps the pink, red-dotted coloring but gains white feathers, his face stretching into an equine shape evocative of a Pegasus.

History

Pierre consumed the Uma Uma no Mi, a Zoan fruit that lets him become a complete horse so that Gan Fall can ride him through the skies. The Straw Hats noted the power is rather pointless for travel, since his giant bird form already carries Gan Fall just fine, leaving the horse shape mostly decorative. He does turn it to use in combat for comic effect, snapping at the heads of those who insult his master with his horse teeth.

Throughout the Skypiea Arc, Pierre chiefly ferried Gan Fall about during the struggle against Enel, greeting the Straw Hats on arrival and carrying Conis clear of one of Enel's blasts. Aisa rode him to safety from the giant snake Nola, and he was knocked out shielding the girl from an attack, only to wake around the same time as the downed Straw Hats just as Luffy finished off Enel. In later cover stories he was shown relaxing with Gan Fall, the Shandia Chief, and Pagaya, sipping pumpkin juice both before and after the timeskip.
