Personality

Devoted to the Foxy Pirates yet exacting about how Hit and Dead Ball is run, Rokuroshi places the game's rules above his loyalty to the crew. That said, he bends and breaks fairness just as freely as his teammates, dreaming up one ridiculous regulation after another. As a pirate in his own right, he holds genuine regard for a fellow pirate's sense of honor.

History

Officiating the Hit and Dead Ball match, Rokuroshi knocked the Straw Hats out one by one on flimsy pretexts, such as Zoro slicing the ball apart with his palm or Luffy swallowing it whole. His authority over the other referees, who answer to him like subordinates, let him impose or invent whatever rule suited him. When Chopper shielded Luffy from a ball, though, Rokuroshi honored the gesture and let him remain in play. Even so, Chopper was forced out of bounds during that defense and was eliminated in the end.
