When the Straw Hat Pirates landed on the Island of Rare Animals, Saikangaroo and the other beasts gathered around them while Gaimon shouted for the crew to leave. The creatures later joined Gaimon as he saw the pirates off. In a separate adventure, Saikangaroo and its fellow animals emerged to gawk at Buggy after his crew crashed ashore; as Gaimon vowed to defend them and realized Buggy was a pirate, the animals simply munched their fruit and spat out the pits.
