Sayo

Sayo is a young girl of small stature, with brown hair and deep brown eyes. She is dressed in a purple frock and wears a necklace strung with red beads, while a gold bracelet circles her left wrist.

Sayo holds firm faith in her father's ambition. Her intellect is striking for her age, letting her follow every one of his formulas. Once he departed, she stepped up as the head of the household and the carer for Lina, proving remarkably grown-up and dependable for someone so young.

Sayo lost her mother while still very small, at a time when her sister was only a baby, leaving her to act as the household's mother figure from early on. After their father went away, she devoted herself to poring over his notebook and mastering the formulas inside, all while the pair sought the secret of producing gems recorded in his log.

The search brought the sisters to Spa Island, where they fell in with Monkey D. Luffy and his crew while hunting for the final piece. The spa's owner seized Sayo as a hostage to pry the secret loose. In the end she learned the truth that her father had never abandoned them.
