Personality

True to his nickname, Shiro is crippled by bashfulness, unable to so much as walk up to Tama, let alone voice his feelings, and so he lurked out of sight observing her from afar. Only her own readiness to confess gave him the push to confront his fear. Beneath the nerves he carries a romantic streak, once winning Tama's heart simply by brushing her cheek and likening her skin to a polished gem.

History

Their affection reaches back to youth, when a young Shiro met Tama, caressed her face, and told her she shone like a jewel, yet both were far too anxious to admit how they felt. For years he kept his distance, smitten but afraid, lingering in the shadows while she went about her life.

During the events of One Piece: World Seeker, Shiro watched Tama repeatedly send Luffy off to Onsen Island to fetch the Phantom Remedy. The moment she found the courage to declare her own love, he resolved to match it. Recognizing their feelings were mutual, the two set aside their shared timidity and began dating, and when Luffy came back from his final errand they told him together and thanked him for bringing them together.
