Sino Phoenix is a renowned hitman and one of the leading villains of Eiichiro Oda's one-shot Wanted!. Famed for never missing a target, he is hired by the police to put an end to the killing spree of the gunman Gill Bastar.
Sino cuts the figure of a gunslinger past his youth, a middle aged man with short pale hair and stubble dusting his chin and upper lip. A wide cowboy hat sits fastened by a cord beneath his jaw, and he wears a light colored suit over a pale shirt and dark tie, his eyes hidden behind dark shades.
A killer who always closes the deal, Sino shows no flicker of conscience over the lives he takes or the crimes that come with the trade. He is equally content to be hired on by the very police who would otherwise hunt him.
Counted as the finest in his profession, Sino was contracted by the police to gun down Gill Bastar, whose mounting body count they hoped to stop before more lives were lost. When Gill, possessed at the time by Wild Joe, took up the challenge, the two traded fire in a savage duel. Sino seized the early advantage, pinning Gill back and clipping his left arm, but his quarry slipped out of sight, scattering rocks and barrels to throw off his aim. From a rooftop Gill landed a shot, and as the wounded hitman struggled to rise, a barrel toppled by a final bullet came down and crushed him.
