Skull

Skull is a man of ordinary build with a hairy chest, long blue hair, and a sharply angled chin, standing with a faint slouch and bearing a tattoo on his right arm. A cracked skull mask hides his face, and skull motifs run through nearly everything he wears: a red shirt patterned with them, a sash, necklaces, and black trousers marked by a dark skull on one leg, finished with bracelets and dark boots. A striped hilt sword in a dark sheath rides on his right hip.

Skull calls himself a pirate enthusiast, hoarding pirate goods and stowing away on ships purely out of love for the life, yet he insists he is not truly a pirate and keeps his face behind the mask. His expertise stretches across the whole subject, letting him pick out a Marine like Ensign Isuka on sight and caution Ace against disturbing the World Nobles at Sabaody. Reckoned among the crew's sharpest minds alongside Mihar and Masked Deuce, he stands out for his courtesy, declining to mock Deuce's clumsy handwriting as the others did.

Before joining the Spade Pirates, Skull cultivated a fascination with pirates, slipping aboard ship after ship and building a hoard of pirate trinkets and skull shaped ornaments. Ace, recognizing the value of that knowledge, invited him into the crew. Skull pulled his weight at once, jamming and stealing a bounty hunter's skull designed gun, identifying the infiltrating Ensign Isuka, and warning Ace to steer clear of trouble with the Nobles and Marines at Sabaody before the crew descended toward Fish-Man Island and the New World. The Spade Pirates were later wrecked at Wano, where they befriended Tama in Amigasa Village and even raided Onigashima to free abducted children, narrowly missing Kaidou.

After Ace fought Jinbe to a standstill, Skull and his crewmates threw themselves against Edward Newgate in their captain's defense and were swiftly overpowered, after which they were absorbed into the Whitebeard Pirates along with Ace. He stood among the commanders at Marineford in the bid to rescue Ace and was stunned when Whitebeard declared their paths would part. In non-canon accounts he and Deuce wept at Whitebeard's death, and the Spade Pirates later visited the graves of Ace and Whitebeard, arriving in time to find the cups Sabo had left behind.
