Usagihebi

Blending two species into one, Usagihebi has the long slithering body of a serpent colored in white and pink, but the head sprouts a pair of rabbit ears. The combination gives him a look unlike anything else, fitting for a resident of an island known for its strange wildlife.

Few details about his temperament have surfaced, yet he comes across as gentle and amiable. The warm, lasting bond he shares with Gaimon points to a creature comfortable around those who care for him.

When Luffy and Nami first set foot on the Island of Rare Animals, Usagihebi was the opening creature they met. He later appeared among the gathered animals as Gaimon saw the Straw Hats off. He was also on hand, beside Cocox and Lionbuta, to watch Buggy crash onto the island and battle Gaimon, after which the group celebrated and danced alongside the pirate before seeing him leave. Two years on, he was spotted watching contentedly as the newcomer Sarfunkel fed Gaimon, and during the Egghead period he again looked on happily while Gaimon and Sarfunkel danced. His name fuses the Japanese words for rabbit and snake, a direct nod to his hybrid form.
