Willy is unique among One Piece characters as a fish-man whose base creature is an orca, a mammal rather than a fish or cephalopod. He keeps a helmet on his head and drapes thick golden chains across his throat. His shirt is orange, broken up by bold black stripes.
A long-running grudge against Arlong defines much of Willy's outlook, and the rivalry between the two worried Nami when it came up. He proves perceptive as well, piecing together that Gasparde had tampered with the race once he caught sight of the ex-Marine breaking off from the proper course.
