Zenny is an aging debt collector, nicknamed Zenny the Money Lender, who spent twenty years stranded on a goat-covered island in non-canon One Piece. A boyhood wish to live as a pirate finally comes true for him thanks to the Straw Hats.
Old age has given Zenny brown skin, a slender frame, and a lengthy gray beard worn alongside gray hair in a matching style. For clothing he layers a striped brown shirt beneath green overalls, with a dark captain's coat thrown over the top. A sash of yellow wraps his middle, and he keeps to brown sandals on his feet.
Earlier in life his body was sturdier. He kept the same dark jacket back then but tied a white cravat at his neck, and his hair, cut in that identical style, ran shorter and held a deeper shade of gray than it does today.
The way Zenny carries himself brings to mind Nami in her earliest days. Pirates earn his open contempt, and he guards his money with miserly care, fitting for a man whose name carries the sense of money.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Among lenders, Zenny was once unique as the only one willing to extend credit to pirates. He had a method for repayment day: locate the borrowers' vessel, pack it with bombs, and promise to set them off unless the debt was settled. His sharp mind showed elsewhere too. He kept defeating Nami at chess, to her endless irritation, though Robin managed to outplay him.
As a fighter he amounts to little, and by his own account it was raw determination, not strength, that let him recover what he was owed. His endurance, by contrast, runs deep. Chopper examined him and predicted only three days of life because of a fatal disease, yet Zenny pressed on long after that estimate, lively despite everything.
The crew first crossed paths with him after reaching Goat Island, where Zenny had quietly commanded the resident goats to charge at Luffy and his companions. Caught in the act, he bolted, only to snag himself in low-hanging branches. Zoro cut him free, and at that moment his heart failed. Chopper nursed him, and the Straw Hats lingered to look after the sickly old man.
Zenny's heart fails just as Zoro cuts him free from tree branches he got tangled in, but Chopper nurses him back to health and the Straw Hats stay to look after the ailing old debt collector.
