No Way Out! A Hellish Scene on Onigashima

Kaidou laments how dearly the raid cost his crew, every top officer lost and his castle wrecked, yet he keeps trading blows with Luffy on the Skull Dome. Leaping skyward, Luffy hits on the notion of drawing power from the lightning above. Beneath them the fires fan out, splitting the alliance and trapping its fighters in pockets across the structure.

Chopper reunites with Nami and Tama but can neither reach the rest nor beat back the blaze. Sealed underground are Brook, Robin, Apoo, and Number Inbi; cornered inside the left brain tower stand Sanji and the women; trapped in the corridors are Usopp's party along with Franky and Zoro; and stranded one level up sit the Mink units.

A floor below the roof, on the fourth level, Jinbe and Raizo put their firefighting scheme into motion. A scroll summoned by Raizo's fruit pours out a flood, and Jinbe bends the flow with Fish-Man Jujutsu, washing it through every corner of the Skull Dome to snuff the flames and spare the allies pinned below.

Beyond the island, Yamato leans on Momonosuke to raise Flame Clouds of his own. As Kaidou's strength drains away, the clouds he conjured grow brittle and threaten to fail, so Momonosuke has to summon replacements before Onigashima drops onto the mainland.

This Wano Country Arc episode closes out PAINT's run as the regular opening and is the first to grant Jinbe's eyecatcher its own theme. The adaptation folds in Gear Fifth flashbacks, the All-Stars' defeats as Kaidou tallies his losses, an added mink moment, and a flashback of Raizo failing to save Oden and resolving to fetch water from Zunesha.
