A Recipe Handed Down! Sanji, the Iron-Man of Curry!

Thick fog leaves the Straw Hats surrounded by Marine vessels, though Nami and Robin reason that the Navy can see no better than they can. A boy aboard one of the ships faints at the sight of the pirate flag and tumbles overboard, and Robin uses her Devil Fruit to pull him to safety. After warily accepting a bowl of Sanji's soup, the child introduces himself as Tajio, a probationary cook serving with the Marines who has spent his six months doing nothing but dishes and peeling.

Tajio explains that he spilled a pot of soup meant for a gathering of Marine captains and will be thrown off the ship unless he can remake it. Curious about the galley and willing to help, Sanji has Luffy slingshot the two of them across to the Marine ship. There Sanji recalls his own apprentice days under Zeff, who refused to teach him directly so he would learn by watching, a memory that helps Tajio reconstruct each step of his chef's curry. With Sanji's pointed critiques, the boy finally gets it right.

Tajio's mention of the legendary All Blue strikes a chord with Sanji, who tells the boy he believes that sea truly exists. Luffy, meanwhile, snoops around the ship, gets chased by lookouts, and is hauled back by Sanji's stretching arm just before the Marines close in; Tajio covers for them, blaming the fog. The installment debuts Free Will as the new ending theme and contains an animation error in which a red-suited Marine is drawn with two right arms.
