From the Syrup Village Arc, the disgraced butler Kuro takes the field himself, revealing his lethal speed against his own mutinous crew before Kaya arrives to bargain for the village's safety and a revived Luffy strikes back.
Furious that his scheme has unraveled, Kuro confronts the cowering Black Cat Pirates, unable to believe a handful of children stalled his crew. When Sham and Buchi turn on him, accusing him of going soft, he vanishes and reappears with his Cat Claws drawn, the silent Nukiashi technique that once let him slip past fifty assassins. He gives his pirates five minutes to kill the wounded Zoro or face death themselves.
Nami kicks Zoro's swords back to him, and the swordsman cuts down the Nyaban Brothers with Tora Gari, vowing to finish Kuro in under five minutes. Buchi begs Jango to hypnotize him into a stronger, savage state, forcing Zoro to deal with him first. Nami rouses the sleeping Luffy beneath the Bezan Black's figurehead by stepping on his head, and he wakes just in time to bite through Jango's deadly pendulum before it can strike her.
As Kuro declares time up and threatens to slaughter everyone on the slope, Kaya appears and pleads with him, offering her fortune to spare the village. Kuro coldly insists he wants peace through her death, and after disarming her of a hidden gun, nearly kills Usopp with his Nukiashi. Luffy intervenes with a Gomu Gomu no Pistol, swearing the former butler will regret throwing that punch. The episode debuts Kuro's Nukiashi and Zoro's Tora Gari.
