To The Sea Someday! The Pledge of the Three Brats!

Growing tougher with each passing day, Sabo, Luffy, and Ace down a crocodile and disguise themselves as Gray Terminal traders to slip into the Goa Kingdom and peddle the reptile's hide to the nobles. After thrashing some thugs along the way, they reach the city, where the disgusted aristocrats recoil at their filth, and they sell the crocodile for a fortune. The boys head straight for a restaurant, and when the manager bars them, Sabo bribes him with a precious jewel that instantly secures a private room and a mountain of food.

Caught gorging themselves by a frightened waitress, the trio smash through a window and flee, but on the run a noble calls Sabo by name, baffling Ace and Luffy. Sabo brushes it off as a case of mistaken identity, yet back at Gray Terminal his friends press him until he confesses he is in fact a noble. He recounts how his father, Outlook III, and his mother pushed him to excel so he might wed into the royal family for wealth and standing, lying that it would make him happy. When his father tore up a drawing he had proudly presented, and his mother slapped him after a knife fight with the royal heir, Sabo grasped that he was merely a tool and fled to the carefree Gray Terminal, eventually abandoning home for good. Moved by the tale, Ace vows to become a renowned pirate, Sabo echoes the dream, and Luffy adds his own, drawing teasing from the others. Ace then produces three cups and sake stolen from Dadan, and the boys drink to become brothers.

The episode adapts part of Chapter 585 and debuts Outlook III, Didit, and the Goa Kingdom. The anime has Ace beat both Luffy and Sabo, whereas the manga showed him fighting only Luffy, with Luffy separately losing to Sabo. The disguise scheme and the ramen feast before their escape are anime additions; notably Sabo's voice actor is better known for voicing Uzumaki Naruto, whose favorite dish is ramen.
