Deadly Attacks One After Another! Zoro and Sanji Join the Battle!

Reeling from how easily Luffy thinned their ranks, the outlaws start to flee until Zeo snarls that running earns death and reminds them fifty thousand fighters still remain. His goading rekindles their nerve, and Hody orders the charge. Luffy opens with a Gear 3 Giant Pistol, prompting Zoro to grumble that he never waits for them. Sanji throws himself in for Shirahoshi's sake, insisting a man who cannot dry a woman's tears is no man at all, while Zoro answers with 108 Pound Cannon. Robin, Brook, Chopper, Usopp, and Nami each handle their attackers, and Franky decides the moment is ripe to debut two fresh machines.

Hody hurls a Water Shot at the captive mermaid, only for Jinbe to deflect it, leaving Daruma stunned at his strength. Confronting the armored Iron Shell Squad, Zoro recalls his training and vows never to fall again, then carves straight through their shells with Great Dragon Twister, his form likened to a reaper's blade as the survivors beg him to stop chasing. Sanji, ringed by the spike-covered Sea Urchin unit, takes no harm and hovers above them using Sky Walk, which Robin recognizes as CP9's Geppo, before grounding the whole group with Diable Jambe Poele a Frire Spectre.

Luffy calls out to Hody, promising the fight will end no matter how many enemies stand in the way. Jean Noueilles debuts this episode. The anime grants the crew extra combat beats, adds a flashback to Zoro's training, and lengthens Sanji's Momoiro Island recollection to include Caroline. Luffy is shown with the pre-timeskip Gigant Pistol, and the manga's Bazooka squad does not appear. Late in the episode the background art noticeably loses detail, with distant shots of Hody, Ikaros Much, Dosun, and the army lacking fingers and faces.
