The Implacable Three - A Big Chase After the Straw Hats!

Cornered by Marines in the cafeteria, Luffy ignores them and keeps shoveling curry, intent on leaving with a full bowl. Grount belittles him and lunges with twin daggers, but Luffy parries using the curry ladle and eventually mashes its underside into Grount's face. Outside, Nami trusts Luffy to handle the soldiers and joins Chopper in raiding the storehouse for provisions. Back inside, an embarrassed Grount is shoved aside by Bonham, who hammers Luffy with Qigong and the Six Powers. When Bonham seals the exit and braces with Tekkai, Luffy blasts him away using Gear 2 and dashes off with Carrot to hunt for more food.

In the hall, Zappa tries to charm Carrot with carrots, but she nibbles him in thanks and returns to Luffy, sparking his jealousy. Luffy blocks Zappa's blades with Armament Haki before Carrot fells the Marine with an Electro jab. Brook's spirit reveals where Nami and Chopper went, and the group races on, only to hit a dead end Brook forgot they could not phase through. Luffy punches an escape route and reaches the storehouse, where everyone gorges. The three Marines arrive again: Chopper outlasts Bonham's Tekkai and Jusshigan by shifting to Heavy Point and hurling him into the stores, while Nami hatches a weather egg and strikes Zappa with a giant thunderbolt. Zappa retaliates with flaming swords, but Luffy deflects the fire into a water pot that floods the facility. Washed out clutching bags of food, the team is blocked by Grount, then halted at the coast by Prodi, who admits he is only fighting to dodge a demotion.

Luffy's group does battle with Grount, Bonham, and Zappa. Bonham is shown to wield the Six Powers, demonstrating Shigan, Rankyaku, Soru, and Tekkai during his clash with Luffy. After overpowering all three rookies, the Sanji Retrieval Team finds itself confronted by Vice Admiral Prodi. This installment is part of the anime-original Marine Rookie Arc.
