A Secret Meeting! Luffy vs. the Fire Tank Pirates

Head cook Streusen leads the kitchen staff through the final touches on the wedding cake, slipping into a tune that compares cooking to living. Out along a coastal inlet, a battered Pekoms remains under watch. Aladine tells him their captain already knows of the treachery, supposedly through word carried by Jinbe, and the rest of the crew echoes the line. The reassurance backfires, because Pekoms only grows more suspicious, and his refusal to accept the tale leaves his keepers tense.

Vito gives Luffy and Sanji a warm welcome at the hideout. A freshly scrubbed Chopper emerges to greet them, mystifying the two grimy arrivals. They soon learn that the boss will receive no one until every guest is spotless, so the beaten-up pair grudgingly trudge off to wash.

Soaking in the bath, Chiffon opens an old wound for Nami and Carrot. Totto Land holds no giants, she explains, because relations with her mother collapsed. Peace nearly came once: the Elbaf prince Loki, smitten the moment he saw Lola, proposed to her, but she rejected him and ran off. Big Mom then tried passing Chiffon off as a replacement bride, the deception was caught, and the rift only widened. Giving up on reconciliation, her mother threw herself into manufacturing giants through Caesar Clown's research, and her loathing of Lola transferred to the identical Chiffon, who was beaten whenever she was seen. For that reason, Chiffon backs the plan to kill her mother without hesitation.

Once clean, Luffy and Brook drink milk from the fridge despite a guard's protest, and their injuries close as a lost tooth regrows in Luffy's jaw. The crew dons new outfits, with Luffy briefly grabbing a robot costume from a Germa comic. Passing Sanji in the hallway, Nami tells him she will keep him busy once he returns, leaving him overjoyed. They proceed to the meeting room, where Bege appears to judge whether the alliance can hold. In Sweet City, the fourth son Oven reaches the chateau and dissolves the door to step inside as the celebration looms.

Part of the Whole Cake Island Arc. Streusen, Loki, and Charlotte Oven each make their anime debuts, and the Netsu Netsu no Mi appears for the first time. Oven shows up earlier than in the manga, where his ability first surfaced fighting Pedro. The adaptation lengthens the cake sequence and adds Aladine privately worrying that Pekoms must not uncover Jinbe's true aim. Further additions depict Lola fleeing Loki, the giant rejecting Chiffon as a stand-in, the crew choosing clothes, and a corridor exchange between Nami and Sanji. The eyecatcher features Usopp and Roronoa Zoro.
