Part, sometimes spelled Pert, began as a fishmonger in the Sorbet Kingdom before taking to piracy with the Bonney Pirates. He had known Bartholomew Kuma and Ginny since their young adult years, and his devotion to Kuma later shaped his decision to guard Kuma's daughter.
Tall in stature, Part has a head that tapers toward a triangle and brows kept very thin. His hair sits in a compact afro. Records show him in a white suspendered shirt twenty-two years prior, and at Bonney's birthday three years ago he turned up wearing a leather jacket. The anime first gave him a rounder skull, then redrew him from the Egghead Arc forward to line up with his manga design.
Few specifics about his temperament are recorded, but in the manner of many Sorbet locals he is intensely devoted to Bartholomew Kuma. That devotion drove him to set off riots throughout Castle Town once Kuma was unjustly imprisoned for speaking out against the enslavement of citizens. It also led him to walk away from his own home so he could shield Kuma's daughter Bonney from the World Government.
The full extent of his fighting skill stays unknown, yet Conney remarked that he ranked among Sorbet's formidable fishmongers, a man whose might supposedly drove off rival pirates and sea beasts on sight. Against the Blackbeard Pirates, however, he plainly came up short. Two decades and two years back, Part lined up with Ginny to spring Kuma from jail, and the attempt left the whole group beaten and locked away; their release came once the corrupt king Bekori was overthrown by the Freedom Fighters under Monkey D. Dragon. Three years ago he turned up for Bonney's ninth birthday. Asked by Conney to see Bonney safely away from the government's supposed protection, Part and the rest of Sorbet's fishermen rebuilt their fishing vessel into a pirate ship, lay in wait at a harbor, and cast off the moment she appeared, roaring approval as she dropped a chasing Alpha. That very scene gave birth to the Bonney Pirates and their search for their captain's missing father. The crew later turned up on Sabaody and pressed on into the New World, where the Blackbeard Pirates overpowered and bound them before Admiral Akainu and the Marines hauled them all in.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Part, also spelled Pert, is a member of the Bonney Pirates who once worked as a fishmonger in the Sorbet Kingdom. He was a longtime friend of Bartholomew Kuma and Ginny before joining Jewelry Bonney's crew.
Before turning to piracy, Part worked as a fishmonger in the Sorbet Kingdom and was considered one of its most formidable fishermen. Conney said his strength alone could scare off rival pirates and sea beasts.
Part joined the Bonney Pirates out of loyalty to Bartholomew Kuma, whose daughter Bonney he agreed to protect from the World Government. He and the other Sorbet fishermen rebuilt their fishing boat into a pirate ship so Bonney could escape and search for her missing father.
Twenty-two years before the present story, Part and Ginny tried to break Bartholomew Kuma out of prison in the Sorbet Kingdom. The attempt failed and left the group beaten and imprisoned themselves, until they were freed after the corrupt King Bekori was overthrown by Monkey D. Dragon's Freedom Fighters.
The Bonney Pirates, including Part, were overpowered by the Blackbeard Pirates in the New World and taken captive. Admiral Akainu and the Marines then arrived and hauled the entire crew away.
