Fighting Music! An Ability That Harms Luffy!

Still picturing the hungry Tama, Luffy explains his fury over the wasted feast, and Zoro joins him in tearing through the partygoers. Queen, watching from above, realizes prisoners have escaped and offers a Tobiroppo seat to whoever captures Luffy. Apoo then enters the brawl with his music powers, before Kid intervenes with a metal-bending counterattack.

Apoo recognizes the two Straw Hats and spins a track while they wreck the Gifters, prompting Queen to grasp that Babanuki lied about the captives. A flashback recounts how Kid, Apoo, and Hawkins once allied as Worst Generation members until Kaidou dropped into Kid's hideout, furious over the loss of his SMILE supplier, and Apoo, secretly Kaidou's man, helped capture Kid. In the present, Apoo strikes his chest to hurl sound like a punch, slices Zoro with an unseen force, and stuns Luffy with a blast, beating the pair even after they shed their disguises. Kid retaliates by gathering metal into a massive arm and slamming Apoo into a wall with "Punk Gibson," shattering his glasses.

The anime lengthens the fight against the Beasts Pirates and Kid's metal-gathering, and slows his approach to Apoo rather than having him rush in. Apoo recognizes Luffy and Zoro as they flee rather than during their argument, and a generic soldier replaces Usunoro in the Gifter swarm. Apoo debuts his "Bon" technique.
