Overview

This crew, fronted by Largo with Corto serving as his second, allied themselves with the legendary Shiki and featured in the anime-exclusive Little East Blue storyline. Most of the band dressed as mariachis, giving the whole group a Mexican flavor, and their captain's name plays on his Ami Ami no Mi.

Their banner shows a slim white skull in a decorated sombrero, backed by a pair of light-brown maracas tipped in red.

Role

Strong enough to range across the Grand Line and earn an offer to join Shiki's fleet, the crew built its reputation on snaring and capturing dangerous quarry. Their muscle rested chiefly in Largo and his vice-captain, both of whom traded blows with the Straw Hats for a time, while the rank and file relied on guns and swords.

Shiki's offer to make them his fifty-first division came with a catch: they had to kidnap Boss, a giant beetle living in Little East Blue that he claimed was stolen from him. The mission ended in failure. The Straw Hats beat them, and the townsfolk of Little East Blue placed the entire crew under arrest. Hearing of it, Shiki shrugged and moved on.

Notable Members

Captain Largo and his first mate Corto anchored the crew, the two of them lounging on a raised platform inside their ship's saloon-like interior. Their vessel was an unnamed green submarine driven by side paddle-wheels rather than sails, fitted with a tall periscope and oversized harpoon launchers, and summoned by Largo's whistle. Luffy destroyed it in Episode 429 by slamming Largo through it with a Gear 3 strike. The higher-ranked members wore enormous sombreros, Corto being the lone exception.
