Founded in the North Blue by Bellamy the Hyena, the Bellamy Pirates gained notoriety in early Paradise while serving under the Donquixote Pirates. Their fall began after Bellamy lost a single punch to Luffy and fell out of Doflamingo's favor.
The crew of Bellamy the Hyena traces its origins to the North Blue and rose to some fame across the opening stretch of the Grand Line, operating as a subordinate group tied to the Donquixote Pirates. That standing crumbled once they lost Donquixote Doflamingo's approval. They act as the chief antagonist crew of the Jaya Arc.
Having pledged themselves beneath Doflamingo, the Bellamy Pirates carried a second flag alongside their own. Bellamy's personal emblem shows a pair of red lips over crossbones with the tongue extended, while Doflamingo's mark, a crossed-out grinning face, was worn by Sarquiss and stamped on places the crew plundered. After Doflamingo cast them off, keeping only Bellamy in the Donquixote Family, the crew forfeited the right to display that borrowed banner for having disgraced it.
Like the Warlord they answered to, the crew take enormous pride in their strength and delight in bullying anyone weaker while flaunting their power. Despite that swagger, the crew leans almost wholly on its pair of real combatants, namely Bellamy alongside Sarquiss. Bellamy relies heavily on the Bane Bane no Mi, which turns his limbs into springs for bursts of speed and force, letting him beat bounty holders like Shoujou and Roshio, though he ranks among the weaker captains Luffy has faced. The pair share the belief that bounties measure fighting skill, and dismiss Luffy and Zoro on that basis.
The crew held sway over much of Mock Town and recruited followers there, but folded against the Straw Hats. After Bellamy raided Mont Blanc Cricket and the Saruyama Alliance for their gold, Luffy chased him down and dropped him with one punch, scattering the recruits in terror. Sarquiss was then humiliated by Blackbeard, and later Doflamingo arrived to punish the crew, forcing Sarquiss to strike Bellamy before dismissing them all for dishonoring his flag.
Bellamy, called the Hyena, founds and captains the crew, a springing Devil Fruit user who preaches a New Age in which pirates hoard nearby riches rather than chase distant dreams like the One Piece. His second-in-command Sarquiss fights with a signature weapon he dubs the Big Knife and wears Doflamingo's grinning mark on his chest and belt, though his combat record is shakier than his bounty suggests.
Rounding out the roster are named hands such as Eddy, Hewitt, Ross, Mani, Rivers, and Muret, plus several unnamed crewmates. Most are ordinary fighters who scatter the moment their captain falls. After the timeskip Bellamy improved dramatically, rejoined the Donquixote Pirates directly, and left his old crew behind to serve Doflamingo alone.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
