The Moulon Family was a mafia outfit led by Don Moulon that operated in the Esperia Kingdom some seventy years ago. Suited gunmen who rode zebras, they tangled repeatedly with the kingdom's royals and a young Brook.
Headed by its namesake, Don Moulon, the Moulon Family was a mafia organization active in the Esperia Kingdom roughly 70 years past. The outfit counted at least 18 members, the don included, all dressed in solid or pinstripe suits topped with fedoras and armed with assorted firearms. In an odd touch, zebras served as their mounts of choice.
The family ran in the criminal underworld, dabbling in smuggling and abduction. Around 79 years ago they tried to move drugs to the Marines, but the scheme collapsed when Esperia's Battle Convoy seized the gangsters and their courier. The Marines wrongly fingered Brook as that courier and tortured him for the cargo's location, prompting Prince Reuven and Convoy Captain Candelle to rescue him and turn on the Marines despite their World Government ties.
Don Moulon drove much of the family's later activity through his obsession with Queen Candelle, whom he spent the following nine years scheming to kidnap and claim as his lover. One brazen attempt unfolded at Esperia's Opera House, with the order to kill her if she resisted. None of the gangsters realized they had already crossed paths with Brook that same morning, and a delayed strike from him swiftly wrecked the whole operation.
